The long awaited approval to retrofit
the barns for church ministry has come.
The arduous process of working through the negotiations with the
township zoning board is quite an education to say the least. I had to remind myself many times that, “the
battle belongs to the Lord.” Paul said
in 1 Cor. 15:58 – “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the
Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
Saturday (April 30th at noon) we dedicated this
beautiful property to Jesus Christ, and for Him it shall be used! We had about 30 people turn out for the work morning and dedication. We also enjoyed a great lunch and time of fellowship.
Above all, let us always remember that
the Lord is longing for all of us to re-dedicate ourselves to Him and to the
work of the ministry. We are not to consider ourselves as volunteers for the Lord calls those who are duty bound. He has great plans
for our church and everyone who belongs to it.
Rom. 12:1 – “I beseech you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the
mercies of God, that you present yourselves as a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” As we dedicate our church property to God,
let us also dedicate ourselves and our families to the One who has blessed us
abundantly!
