Un-confessed  sin  creates a wall, a hole, a broken relationship, a barrier!  The result?
·       Wasted time

·       Bitter hearts

·       Bad memories

·       Inability to trust again!

Jesus said, “Run quickly and be made right with your brother or sister and then come to My altar!”

Isn’t it amazing, that one of the greatest gifts God has ever given us – Confession of Sin, is the thing we are so slow to do and a matter we would rather avoid?  That is called PRIDE!

You may be thinking:  “What do I need to confess?”

1.  Have we broken the Law of God? – The Commandments!

2.  Have we broken the “Royal Law of Love?” -- to love your neighbor as yourself.

When we “examine” ourselves with those 2 questions, we are inviting God to move upon our hearts and reveal areas that need to be dealt with.

May we NOT “generalize” our confession of sin; we must be specific!

We must realize the damage sin has created in our lives and learn to hate it!  Love what God loves and hate what He hates.

Psalm 51 would be a wonderful passage to meditate on to form in us the attitude of mind and heart that is acceptable to God.
